Alaska McDonalds supports the State of Alaska Office of Children’s Services by offering a 10% discount for foster families. All Alaska McDonalds with the exception of Ketchikan and Juneau have signed on for this promotion. Foster parents will need to show their foster parent ID card. If you have misplaced your ID or didn't’t receive one with your license; please contact your regional OCS licensing office.

Nurturing Parenting Class This weekly parenting class begins on Thursday, July 12th and continues through Thursday, October 11th. It will be held at Fairbanks Counseling & Adoption, 912 Barnette Street. It costs $50 and includes a Parenting Handbook, payment arrangements can be made as needed. Trauma, Brain & Relationship Helping Children Heal, With special Guest David McCormick, LPC. This DVD explores experienced trauma as the source of learning and attention problems, emotional, attachment, and social difficulty in children. Research brought to you by the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute Center for Clinical Studies and Research. Clinical Therapist David McCormick who specializes in working with children and adolescents with SED will be available to answer any questions and to offer support.
