About let’s talk ICWA PIP curriculum

This online series (presented on Zoom) is designed specifically for foster and pre-adoptive parents across Alaska to learn about ICWA (the Indian Child Welfare Act). We are excited to offer this upcoming series featuring the NICWA Positive Indigenous Parenting Curriculum for families. Trainer facilitators and invited speakers will present the different sessions of the curriculum including activities and discussion. All foster and adoptive families, regardless of race, tribal status, or background, are invited to come to participate. There is a limit of 20 families participating and families will receive activity kits for some of the session so please include your address upon signing up. Interested persons are also welcome to attend individual sessions for their own education.

Native parents face many challenges today, but they have the power to make choices about the parenting techniques they want to use.

Co-sponsored by the Alaska Center for Resource Families and the Office of Children’s Services.
