Adopting through OCS: Self-study course
Learn about adopting through the Alaska Office of Children’s Services (OCS).
This course includes information about adopting through the foster care system and reviews the “nuts and bolts” of what families need to know. You’ll learn about homestudies, adoption/guardianship subsidies, disclosure meetings, and working with an attorney to finalize. We will also discuss how to prepare your family and the child for adoption. Perfect for foster families who are moving toward adoption of the child in their home or families who are interested in adopting from the foster care system.
