Building Families Through Adoption: Self-study course
Building families through adoption aims to prepare potential adoptive parents for the realities adoption. All potential adoptive parents are welcome but it is particularly valuable for persons wanting to adopt from Alaska’s foster care system.
This course covers adoption expectations, birth parents, talking to children about adoption, understanding grief and loss, attachment, and trauma.
