Training title: Communicating & Direct Work with Traumatized Children & Youth: An Introduction for Therapists to Therapeutic Life Story Work - Part I & Part II Facilitated by the esteemed Richard Rose

Training description: In this 2-part training, attendees will learn countless tools for engaging children, youth and families in order to facilitate aspects of the creative life story work narrative process, including a specific introduction to the Rose model. Attendees will come away with a deeper understanding of attachment, the impact of emotions and feelings work, and tangible engagement strategies for helping trauma and care-experienced children and youth better understand their pasts and move towards recovery.
Learning Objectives:
  1. Gain familiarity with a variety of interactive tools supporting child & family engagement
  2. Acquire a deeper understanding of attachment dynamics
  3. Explore the impact of creative emotions & feelings work
  4. Cultivate an enhanced appreciation of the fostered and/or adopted child's perspective
